"I have the ability to listen to my subjects and tell their story for the purpose of imposing an impactful change. From my exposure to cultural and ethnic diversity, I have learned to think outside of the box. Using my open mind, I innovate ideas by providing an alternative perspective of the world surrounding us. Through my achievements in multitasking, communication and teamwork, I give a voice to the people and communities I represent." - Kaylee A. Brown

Kaylee A. Brown's passion for mobility and curiosity for cultural diversity motivated her to travel throughout the majority of her young adulthood. In summer 2014, she spent three months in Accra, Ghana, where she produced a short documentary about the over-usage of chemical pesticides in local agriculture. She also volunteered at an orphanage in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia, May 2011, to help families in-need generate donations and the year she spent living off and on in Central Mexico enabled her proficiency in the Spanish language.

Kaylee enjoys being an active explorer, the great outdoors and developing relationships with people from all walks of life. She aspires to do documentary work in the foreign sector with a nonprofit or nongovernmental organization that advocates for issues related to basic human rights, trafficking, immigration or public health.

She graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and double majored in multimedia and public relations. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband and their dog, Rambo.
